My background is in nursing and I feel that training with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis has given me a good understanding of how hypnosis works. Since 2003 I have worked in Occupational Health Nursing, caring for the health and well-being of employees. During this time as an Occupational Health Advisor I have noticed how the fast pace of life is taking its toll on people and how everyday changes are making people’s work life balance much more stressful and mentally demanding.
I enjoy helping people overcome their problems and issues especially those that have caused a great deal of distress in their lives, sometimes affecting them for many years. Seeing somebody achieve and overcome something that once felt impossible for them to achieve I find very rewarding.
As a nurse I have an empathetic approach with my clients and I love to see people grow in self-esteem and confidence.
As a nurse I can see that there are benefits of using hypnotherapy alongside traditional medical treatments for certain conditions and I am aware of the importance of working together with healthcare professionals such as doctors and dentists.
In the last few years I have had the desire to make a difference and help people suffering with unwanted behaviours, physical and mental health problems be able to change and or manage their symptoms.
I first studied for the Diploma in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and followed this with further study to become an NLP Practitioner. I found the course so empowering that I decided I would like to undertake training in Hypnotherapy. However it was important to find the right course for me. I completed the CPPD course in clinical hypnosis and I am a qualified hypnotherapist holding a Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in Clinical Hypnotherapy form the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH) /University of West London (UWL)
